The Battle Of Britain Is Remembered

The 25th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, a battle which is considered the most vital of all in the Second World War since the outcome ensured that Britain could stay in the fight, was remembered in Nelson as it was in the rest of the Dominion, with a parade and a thanksgiving service. Former air force personnel marched to the Church Steps with representatives of other service organisations and detachments of the Royal New Zealand Air Force at Wood-bourne and Air Training Corps cadets.
