Primary Schools Music Festival

The fifteenth annual music festival of the northern zone of Waimea district primary schools was held in the Stoke Hall on two evenings last term. Each school presented items to packed houses on both evenings and congratulations are due to teachers and pupils alike for the wonderful variety of music, both choral and instrumental, presented. In particular, we found the items by the Tahuna choir (Maori numbers) and that of the Nayland choir (two traditional Australian numbers), extremely entertaining.
