A new weighbridge installed by the Forest Service at Belgrove has resolved log scaling problems for the service. Whereas logs had to be measured and then scaled to give cubic content, the weighing of the loads now produces the same, if not more accurate, content. Here Basil Thorn prepares to leave the weighbridge after attendant Paddy McLoughlin had attended to him.
