East Takaka School Jubilee
Former pupil3 of East Takaka School Came from far and near to join in the school's 90th birthday celebrations last month. The school was established to years before the bridle track that crossed Takaka Hill was widened into a road. The present building was erected in 1902. The celebrations were held over two days, features of them being a parade of clothing through the years and a huge iced cake. (Pix by John Sharp)
