Modellers' Society Display

When the weather drove those who attended the South Island show indoors, one of the displays to receive the biggest crowds was that of the Nelson Modellers' Society. And little wonder, for the exhibition was first-class.

This scale model of a traction engine took its owner, Derek Renshaw, three years to make.

Fine balance, a ball point pen and perpetual motion provided some intricate patterns on paper.
