Eleven debutantes were presented by their fathers to Rt Worshipful Bro G. Palk, at the annual combined Masonic Ball in the Stoke Hall. The girls made a lovely picture as they were presented and then rejoined their partners for the formal waltz. The ball was a great success, about 200 couples attending. The debutantes, at left, were: Leslie King, Valerie Robinson, Winona Hambling, Jillian Johnson, Lorraine Meagher, Carol Gribble, Jennifer Sheehan, Yvonne Rush, Verna Hicks, Jocelyn Wastney, and Barbara Savage. The official party comprised Mr and Mrs E. Gribble, Mrs and Mr Shand-Smith, Mrs and Mr Palk, Mr and Mrs E. Baigent, Mr and Mrs J. Baird, Mrs and Mr K. Bowden.
