"The Great Escape"

The goings on at Stalag Luft III the night that 76 officers left the prison camp via a tun nel laboriously dug under the wire were recaptured by two Nelson men who were in the camp that night, when the film "The Great Escape" was shown in Nelson earlier this month. The men and their families were guests of the management at the first performance. The two men were Robin Mordaunt and Ian Richmond (Wakefield), A third, Ron King, was unable to be present.
