Fell House in Use

×

A day before the commencement of the May holidays, Nelson College boarders' in residence at College and Fairfield moved from their spartan quarters into the comparative luxury of Fell House - the new £100,000 building which will eventually accommodate 111 boarders. The boys spent only one night in their new quarters before going on vacation but they will return to find the finishing touches to the hostel completed, or nearly so. The official opening of the building is scheduled for June 27 and we hope, at a later date, to be able to provide our readers with a better idea of the wonderful amenities incorporated in the new block. College House, which bedded 57 boys, is to be demolished but a final decision on Fairfield House, which is in. much better condition, has yet to be made.
