For a time at least, the hundreds of yards of pipeline which have snaked out from the suction dredge Karitea to various points of the reclamation, are lying idle. Now that the dredge is working over very sandy tidal flats, it has been equipped with a huge nozzle through which the light material is being jetted to the area being filled. We reproduce here two pix of this new operation.
