Twenty-six members of the Paritutu Bowling Club (New Plymouth) spent a weekend among Nelson bowlers recently. As well as playing against United bowlers (seen with the visitors here) their programme also included matches against Maitai and Riwaka.
About 70 voluntary teachers of the bible in schools were presented with their certificates of accreditation at a function in the Church of Christ recently. Here, Miss J. G. Hall, secretary of the Nelson district committee of the New Zealand Council for Christian Education, presents the Nelson president, Mr W. O. Gibson, with his certificate. Looking on are Mrs M. Swain, Mrs D. Hough and Mrs E. Grooby.
