Motor-Cycling Thrills
One of the major attractions of the holiday carnival programme was the motor-cycle racing, first at the Nelson club's circuit at Waka-puaka on Boxing Day and then at the Tahuna circuit. Big crowds saw soiie excellent racing, with Bill Veitch (Dunedin), Campbell Shaw (Dunedin), and K. Franks (Motueka), in particular, burning up the track. Veitch won the South Island open miniature T.T. but lost the main event on the second day to Shaw when he came off at a bend.
