Deep-Freeze Plane

Twice during December a skymaster of the United States Air Force landed at Nelson airport. The plane, en route to Wellington, carried some work for Nelson's taxidermist, Mr G. Elliot, The big four-engine DC4, which, incidentally was used as a transport plane during the last world war, had no trouble either landing or taking off, but some heavy braking was necessary when she touched down.
