Mardi Gras Was Tops

"By far the best yet". This was the opinion we obtained after the close of this year's Mardi Graa and we wholeheartedly agree. For the first time, with most of Trafalgar Street open to the public, there was plenty of room in which to move and the added attractions of the ferris wheel (notwithstanding the price) and the aerialists, Leoni and Tania, helped make this year's Mardi Gras a tremendous success. With better prizes offering, also, there were more competitors in the parade and some of them, notably Cleopatra and her entourage, Puff the Magic Dragon and the Port Bottle and Glass, were outstanding.
