Some of the best caves in New Zealand are to be found in Takaka. Until now the wonderful limestone formations in the caves have been seen by few. In this excellent pic, however, the full extent of the stalactites and stalagmites being examined by Ian Townsend, a member of the Nelson Speleological Society, can be seen.
