Not seven little girls sitting in the back seat, but six nurses with their own veteran automobile (bomb, to us). The 1931 Pontiac is jointly owned by the six nurses here, Kay Nicholas, Jenny Haines, Helene Heath, Jenny Edridge, Jenny Reed and Margaret Taylor.

To ensure that crash tenders at the Nelson airport will be more readily available should they ever be needed, an extension of what was originally intended as a bus shelter was built recently. In these two ports the tenders, under Chief Fire Officer at the Airport, Pat Kennedy, are kept in daylight hours. At night they go back to their garage.
