Model Railway Opened
We've got a railway again! It's only a model one, but then, even a model one's better than none at ail. The kiddies certainly think so. The new track, built by the Nelson Society of Modellers, is at Tahunanui. It was opened Labour weekend, when members of the Blenheim society brought several engines to try out the new track.
Off the Limited and on to a model - that's the experience of Bill Lucas as he drove Stan Russell and society presi-dent, Harold Wilson, at the official opening.
Bill presented Len Hargreaves with his new insignia of office - an engine-driver's hat.
