The children above, incidentally, were new arrivals at a Save the Children Fund Camp in Tibet.

Study the picture above. Not a very pleasant one, is it? Poverty is never pleasant. Yet these children are better clad and better fed than millions of other kiddies in povertystricken areas throughout the world. It is to aid children such as these, that the Save the Children Fund was founded, and it was to give practical aid to this, that supporters of the fund within the Nelson district gathered recently for a film evening.

Many organisations were represented at the evening

The Fifeshire Guide Company which sponsors a child was represented by Capt.B. E. Thomson, Lynette Sellers, Margaret Gould, and Linda Hurathouse.
