Winter Sporting Scene

Winter is a cold season, but it ia a time of the year which gives youngsters, in particular, the chance of playing organised rough and tumble sport. Soccer, hockey, rugby, basketball - all are sports which are as much a part of the New Zealand way of life as Social Security. Here, in Nelson, theae as well as many other sports help us to get through the winter to those palmy days when we can use our beautiful beaches and picnic grounds to the best advantage.
