Autumn in Nelson

×

In the autumn the trees lose their leaves. That is what we were taught at primary school. But can words adequately describe the beauty that accompanies this change? We think not, In Nelson at this time of the year, the beauty of scenery is beyond mere verbal description. Only through the lens of a camera can the glorious autumn tonings tell the story of their beauty. And so, in this issue, we reproduce some of the lovely scenes around Nelson we have been able to capture. Our only regret is that in this issue at least, we have been unable to print them in all their colourful magnificence.
This picture is familiar to all. users of the main Nelson-Murchison highway. It was taken at Norriss's Creek, at the Golden Downs Forest turn-off.
