Bowling Club's Jubilee

Three-quarters of a century of bowling in Nelson was celebrated recently when the Nelson Bowling Club held a 75th anniversary function. Present at the celebrations were the Dominion president of the bowling association, Mr C. H. Hain, and Mrs Hain. The club was formed in 1888 and had played on a green in Selwyn Place until 1922 when the club had bought a rubbish dump area and converted it into the beautiful spot it is today
