The Nelson Photo News

Editorial Comment

From a news point of view, November 1960 was a notable month, especially in Nelson. The opening of the harbour board's McGlashen Quay, the General Election in which Nelson and the controversial railway figured very prominently throughout the country and the Nelson show, were the three major events of the month. These, and other important happenings in Nelson and district, we have covered in this issue.

There were, of course, some occasions we were unable to attend, but only because we were not given notice as to when and where they would take place. This, of course, can be remedied in future by ringing us at 7574.

As this will be the last issue of "Photo News" for 1960, we take the opportunity, even at this early stage of the month, of wishing our readers, already numbered in thousands, a very happy Christmas and a prosperous and peaceful 1961.
