Boats, New Style
Dorman Engineering Ltd is being kept pretty busy these days. As well as building for the Harbour Board the 75ft barge (above) for use as an adjunct to the Tasman Bay dredge, the firm is constructing a 36ft launch with all steel framing and skin.
The barge under construction will hold 120 cu. yds. of material which will be discharged through the bottom by means of hydraulically-operated doors.
