Another Challenge Repulsed

Nelson was under no illusions about its opposition when it met Wairarapa in another Nordon Cup challenge match last month. Nelson had taken the trophy from Wairarapa last year and it knew the calibre of the Wairarapa team. And so it proved. For the first match this season the teams played on a dry and even ground and after a terrific battle Nelson won 3-2 to retain the cup.
