The Nelson Intermediate School Pipe Band turned out to welcome Wellington Savages at the airport.

Station 2XN manager, Mr S. Harris, with the two judges of the local section of the "Mrs New Zealand" contest, Mrs W. J. Glasgow and Mr Jack Hanna, at the section finals.

Just one of the many funny faces Freddie Morgan turned on in the "Starnight Revue" Show.

The old Spring Grove Hall, built in 1899, and used in two world wars as a drill hall by the army. The hall committee are trying to secure finance to make renovations so that the building can be used for local projects and sport.
