Lots of Work for Sailing Club Members

At first glance, the £1250 paid by the Aurora Sailing Club to the Harbour Board for the purchase of the premises occupied by the club on Wakefield Quay, seemed a particularly low figure. A visit to the club rooms recently, however, negated that impression. A working bee of about 40 members was busily engaged in pulling up and replacing rotten decking, joists and bracing. When this and other renovations have been completed, the club will have spent another £6Q0-odd in repairs and maintenance work.
