Achilles Avenue has been the scene of quite a lot of activity in recent weeks. Post and Telegraph Department machines have moved in and dug up the footpath on one side and lots of pipes have been laid. It appears that the department is looking to the future by laying cable ducts now. Through these, the cables will be drawn, when required. Eight ducts are being laid.
