Biggest news in the grocery business last month was the opening of the new wholesale store of Grocers' United Stores and Independent Grocers' Association, on the reclamation. Previously a smaller store in Halifax served this purpose, but an increase in stores and business prompted the organisations to erect a 15,000 sq. ft. store at Port Nelson. Above is a view of a small section of the interior and below the official opening, at which grocers in the organisations concerned, and their wives, were invited.
