When this picture of the new boat harbour at Port Nelson was taken, all was quiet and peaceful. A few days later, however, after the storm, high seas and flood waters from the Maitai had abated, only one or two boats were still at anchor. Many of these craft were washed up on to the bank and holed (pics elsewhere in this issue).
