All The Fun Of The Fair

October is gala month in Nelson and although the weather did not prove very kind, the Richmond Sports Club's effort was quite well attended. Chopping events, highland dancing, a barbecue and all the fun that can be had from sideshow alley helped boost the attendances and the finances of the club. In the evening, again despite poor weather, the young people in particular rolled up for the barbecue, some miniature rifle shooting and some items from well-known local entertainers before the dance in the club hall.
