Ski Club Dinner
Recognition of the help given by the R.N.Z.A.F. in air-dropping supplies to the ski-ing grounds behind Mt.Robert was made at the Nelson Ski Club's dinner when members of the force were presented with photographs of the Mt.Robert area.

The piece de resistance – a ski field in meringue dreamed up by caterer Fred Burton. It went like hot cakes.
