The 25th new chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to be built in New Zealand, is being erected on a nine-acre site in Nayland road, Stoke, The church is to be ready for services by April 15, next year. The building is expected to cost about £50,000. The site was blessed at a short service earlier in the month and work on the building commenced almost immediately, Mr S. A. Whitehead, Mp, and Mrs B. Eyre, deputy mayor, helped turn the first sod (upper right). The building at Stoke will be very similar to this chapel, built at Hamilton.
