For My Lady

The only trouble with a change of seasons (at least so far as we men are concerned), is that they bring a change of clothing styles. Now we men don't worry overmuch about styles normally, but the ladies do - and that's when we get worried. To help milady with her choice of autumn and winter styles, clothing and business firms play the tempters by ushering lovely young ladies around the country to show off the latest and loveliest creations. And so it was that mannequin parades were held throughout the Nelson province last month, much to the consternation of the male population. These pics of one such parade in Motueka, were taken for us by Colin Blom-field. The series at the top shown by lovely Elaine Bullen (Auckland) features the Gown of the Year, with cloak (left), full skirt (centre) and sheath (right). At centre right Mrs Murray Brothwaite (Hamilton) showed something for the "fuller figure" and at extreme right, with eyes demurely cast down, Mrs Marie Cullen, of Motueka, models something comfy to lounge around in.
