We had heard about the nesting of seagulls on Rabbit Island, so one day late in December, we bearded the gulls in the sand dunes. And what an experience! The shots immediately below were taken as we hastily brought camera to bear on seagulls which beat us up from all angles, but fortunately they didn't quite open hostilities. In a big sandy dip we found the chicks, and under the hovering and diving scrutiny of their parents, we got these bottom pictures.
