Traffic Patrols

If you're a motorist, the odds are that somewhere in the Nelson district you've seen some of these children at school pedestrian crossings. For these are the children who, during the year protect their schoolmates from the dangers of the road by standing by the crossings in all weather extending that well-known School Patrol sign. At the end of the year they were rewarded for their work with a social in the Old Folk Hall. Incidentally, a new school year has Just begun, so keep a wary eye out, all you road users, for the school patrols.
