Diggers' Page

Quite a nautical flavour to this month's Digs' Page, the three pics being supplied by Ed Peacock who served on both the H.M.N.Z.S. Gambia and Leander.

When Leander got on the tail of an enemy raider, Ramb 1, in the Indian Ocean, its crew decided to scuttle. Just visible at left are boats leaving the scuttled ship and below the vessel on fire.
