Twin Queen Scouters

As well as their 28th birthday, Tani-wha Scouts had something to celebrate when twin Scouts, Peter and Paul Michael, were presented with their Quean Scout certificates. The St.John Ambulance Hall was packed for the birthday celebrations and presentation ceremony. This was only the third time in the history of Scouting in Nelson that twins have received the Queen Scout Certificate. For the event, and to present a warrant to the newly-appointed district commissioner, Reg Page, the Dominion Chief Executive Commissioner, Wing Commander S. Field, came over from Wellington.
