Yuk, Yuk, Yuk

It just goes to show what can be made from a load of old rubbish. The Yuk contest, run by the Public Relations Office, in conjunction with the Nelson City Council, 2Zn and Bowdens Super Market, attracted many entries and some showed tremendous imagination. The overall winners, the Laing family, won $50, and a crack at the national final.

The winners of the primary section were Michelle (6) and Melody (8) Newport

Unfortunately, the secondary winner, Ian Stent, was not available for the photo, so we snapped his winning entry being admired by Patricia Hunter, of the Public Relations Office
