It's a woman's world of welding

Walk into the New Zealand Tool and Gauge Company's workshop, in Bolt Koad, and you'll probably see four welders hard at work. Nothing very strange in that. But when they lift their protective masks you'll notice something unusual. They're women. Since gaining subcontracts for making car seat frames for Motor Assemblies, the Tool and Gauge Co. has been employing women welders, and they do a darned good job, too.
