Rod Dixon in Good Form

Rod Dixon retained his Munich Olympic form to win the Nelson district 15,000-metre road race from his brother-coach, John, in 47min. 20sec. John's time was 48min. 27 sec., and Brian Jacobsen was third in 50min. 12sec. The junior race, over 7500 metres, was won by Peter Harnett and the senior women's by Kathy McHugh.
