On The Mat

The Stoke Hall was crammed to the walls with hundreds of excited wrestling fans when professional grapplers recently displayed their talents here. Perhaps the first women's bout in Nelson attracted a large proportion of that crowd. But those who went specifically to watch the ladies rip each other apart must have been badly disappointed. Some of the lady fans in the crowd were more exciting to watch. However, the men compensated for the lack of action provided by the girls and most bouts were reasonably entertaining.
