Autumn Blooms On Display
The Stoke Memorial Hall was attractively decorated with an array of autumn blooms when the Nelson Chrysanthemum Club held its annual show. Many visitors to the show were impressed with the variety and quality of the flowers on display, A feature was a display of potted chrysanthemums. Most of the plants for this were Japanese species and were specially grown by Mr C. J. Hansen.
One-year-old Vanessa Chapman was more interested in what was in front of her than in the champion chrysanthemum (right) grown by Mr M. W. Beaven. With Vanessa is her mother, Pamela
A prize winning entry, Golden Bendigo, is proudly displayed by grower Tom Cooper
Enjoying the show were Mr S. A. Hall, Mr F. Hockey, Mrs Hall and Mrs R. Smith
