Successful Open Squash Match

The Nelson Squash Club's recent open tournament attracted entries from numerous centres and the final of the men's A grade was contested by Morris Billington, Christchurch, and Tony Naughton, Collegians, Wellington. Naughton won 3-1.

Graeme Wood, Fraser Park, Lower Hutt, won the B grade final from Peter Wells, Marlborough, 3-0.

Richard Hawkes, a former Davis Cup player, won the A grade special plate from Neil Senior. With them is Sheila Perry, Nelson, who won the women's B grade

The women's A grade was once again a Trish Field-Pam Senior contest with Pam winning 3-0

Relaxing after the C grade final are Lindsay Laing, Marlborough, and Malcolm Lawrence, Canterbury University, who won in five tough sets
