Cup Day At Richmond
Good horses, keen punters and fine weather contributed to another successful meeting for the Nelson Jockey Club when the 1972 Nelson Cup was raced at Richmond. The two day meeting attracted hundreds of race fans. The main race, the Nelson Cup, was won by the favourite, Guilty Party, from Hydel and Silver Head.
Guilty Party, ridden by J. McCann, ran home an easy winner in the Nelson Cup from Hydel (M. P. Denton) and Silver Head (G. Lee)
