Ian Stewart is the present group leader, lan's nephew, Geoffrey, is one of the latest recruits, and Merv (tan's father, and Geoffrey's grandfather) is a former group leader and has had many years with the troop

The proposed hockey grounds at Tahuna Back Beach are coming on just fine, as you can see by this photograph. Hockey players and officials are wondering when they are going to be ready. Next season for sure .. . we hope. The numerous stones on the field at the moment are just a fraction of what was there before City Council staff carted away truckloads. Grass has been sown and the remaining stones might have to be rolled under, unless all the hockey players like to combine to have a working bee: "Operation Stone Collection"
