New arrivals in Nelson are Lois and Trevor Simpson and their family. Trevor is accountant with the Commercial Bank and transferred here from Auckland. He's also a soccer referee, so we'll probably see him racing around with a whistle in his mouth this season. The children are Gregory, 9, Jennifer, 7, and Kaye, 5

For the last 40 years, Mr R. W. S. Stevens has been judging the high jump at the Nelson College athletics. And he's had a deal of interest in that event too. He held the senior record at 5ft 91/2in. for 43 years and he also held the New Zealand secondary schools' record at the same height for 25 years. And he also won a national open title

The attendants are Geoffrey Francis, Wellington (best man), Genevieve Bryson, Wellington (chief maid), and Miriam White, Inver-cargill, niece of the bride (junior maid). Future home, Wellington.
