Through the efforts of four girls, the Nelson I.H.C. workshop benefited by $18. Lynn Thomas, Kathryn Basalaj, Janice Emery and Linda Covic ran a stall in Stoke and sold cakes, sweets, books, comics and toys to raise the money. Receiving the funds from Janice is Mr Donald Grew, the branch administrator. In the background are extensions to the workshop in Bolt Road

Right–Mr and Mrs E. K. New­port, 124 Brook Street, Nelson, recently celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary with friends and relatives. They were married on March 1, 1922, at Nelson Cathedral. With Mr and Mrs New­port, centre, are a daughter and son, Mrs Nyreen Goad and Brian Newport
