South Sea Banquet Bubbled Along On Tahuna Sands

More than 1000 people attended a Polynesian Banquet, organised by the Nelson District Public Relations Officer, Mike Veal. Nelson foods and Nelson wines were used to provide a feast for those who attended and the night was acclaimed a success. Many visitors assoc­iated with the vintage car rally were among the revellers. High­lights of the function were Maori action songs by the Nelson Maori Culture group, The banquet was held at the Tahuna camp.
