N.Z. Underhand Trials Comeback

Nelson axeman Alan Rose made light of being a diabetic, to gain a place in the New Zealand Underhand Chopping team for the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Eight trialists competed for the three berths. Rose was third behind Jock Bentley (Wairarapa) and Mike Carran (Southland).
