Gold Star Scramble Meeting
Honours in the Nelson Motor Cycle Club's South Island Gold Star scramble meeting at Simpson's farm, Brook Street, were shared between two Christchurch riders, Graham Stapleton and Bruce Roberts. Each won three events. Rain about half-way through the meeting made the circuit greasy in places but this contributed to more exciting riding. (Pictures: Ian Skinner).
