Retired from the police force after 35 years' service is Senior Sgt E. H. (Ted) Clark. Sgt Clark came to Nelson in January 1963 from Christchurch and has been senior sergeant here since. He joined the force in Dunedin and has served at Invercargill, from where he moved gradually north. He and his wife are retiring in Nelson. As a keen member of the Maitai Bowling Club, Ted Clark will probably be a common sight on the greens during summer.
